small group

The majority of people at St Mary’s belong to one of 12 or so Small Groups that meets mid-week, usually at someone’s home, for fun, fellowship, support and spiritual growth.

Our hope is that all the groups are able to see how God is working in their lives collectively and as individuals, to grow in faith, encouraged by one another, the Holy Spirit and God’s living and active Word, and to work out what sharing Jesus looks like in our culture and lives.

Groups are member led and everyone is encouraged to share and take part. We have a number of groups that tailor for specific members of the church, for example: young people and mums of pre-school children.

When someone new to St Mary’s makes the decision to commit to the church family, they would normally be invited to join a Small Group after having attended a Newcomers lunch.

Chatter is a daytime small group for St Mary’s parents of younger children.

Chatter meets on every other Thursday (Term Time) 10-11:30am in the lower hall

The Chatter group provides an opportunity to build relationships, support each other and explore relevant topics together. At each meeting there are toys for the children to play with and for the adults a cuppa and chat.

Discussion topics vary but often relate to faith or parenting. For meeting dates please contact the church office 778505
