Services @ St. Mary's

There are 4 main services that happen at St. Mary's on a Sunday. Please read on to find out about them all:

8.00am Communion

Said service with no hymns or songs, but the same quality teaching as at other services.  We use Anglican Common Worship on 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays and the Book of Common Prayer on 2nd and 4th Sundays. The service lasts about 45 minutes.

10.30am

/pages/images/D13_service.JPGFriendly, informal and relaxed, with modern band and worship songs.  Children and young people’s groups for all ages, from crèche to teenagers.  Children and young people have their own special activities after about 15 minutes of the service.  All-age services, when the children and young people stay for the whole service which is particularly accessible to them, are on the first Sunday of each month.  Holy Communion (informal in style) is on the 4th Sunday of the month.  Refreshments are available after every service. The service lasts about 1.5 hours.

6.00pm

A quieter, slightly more traditional service, with a mixture of modern and traditional music.  The service is led by members of the 6.00pm service team on 1st , 3rd and 5th Sundays, and by staff on 2nd and 4th Sundays.  The service lasts about one hour.
